Research Interests: relations between the evolution of the state form and the modules of description and organization of the archetypes of legality between the genesis of the national monarchy and the phase of secularization
The historiography of the 20th and early 21st centuries has placed particular emphasis on the ways in which the Modern Age saw the meeting and interactions between monarchical systems derived from the medieval “Pastorato” and the various forms emerging from the gradual compression of corporate societies in favor of central power. The key turning point is represented by the history of interpretations of political theology models included in the dialogue between Carl Schmitt’s interpretation and the rereading proposed by Jan Assmann.
These processes of ideological reworking don’t stop either in the face of the conflicts of the Age of Religious Wars or because of the spread of secularization processes, which instead represent particularly significant phases in the deconstruction and reconstruction of various political-theological frameworks.
Within the substantial cultural continuity of these political and theological interpretations, however, there are deep differences related to the individual European and Mediterranean areas that can be examined:Le proposte in materia di teologia politica nello spazio iberico del Seicento
