Due to a recent upgrade of our submission platform, authors who submitted manuscripts to Nuova Rivista Storica before May 2025—and whose articles have not yet been published—are kindly requested to upload all versions of their manuscript and the related peer review reports via the following link: https://ijs.tspsubmission.com/page/index.html#/submission?id=34
If you encounter any difficulties using this link, please send your files to nrs@nuovarivistastorica.it. The editorial office will then upload them on your behalf to ensure timely processing and publication.
Nuova Rivista Storica welcomes submissions of articles on historical subjects, from antiquity to the contemporary era, written in Italian and English.
Nuova Rivista Storica is currently published as a hybrid journal, allowing authors to choose whether to make their articles Open Access. Authors who opt for OA publication are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 1,000 per article. Publishing open access means that your article will be free to access online immediately on publication, increasing the visibility, readership, and impact of your research.
Of course, the journal’s traditional subscription-based model remains fully respected: authors may freely choose to publish their articles under subscription without incurring any APC, in which case their work will be accessible only to subscribers.
